A note from the founder
In 2021, when I got married, my mother gave me a shoebox of VHS tapes, labeled in pencil, some of them so faded I couldn't read them.
It took me four months to find a working VCR. When I finally played the first tape, it was Christmas 1992. My father was 34. I was three. He was holding me up to the camera and saying something I couldn't quite hear.
I built Tapeflix because the videos on your phone are today's version of that shoebox. Nobody is going to dig through a camera roll in 2055. The memories will just sit there, between screenshots and memes, until the phone dies.
We turn them into episodes because episodes get watched. That's the whole bet.
